Round (Fandoghi)

Round (Fandoghi), This type of pistachio is the least expensive. Because of its shape and high production volume, as well as low domestic demand, its price is lower than other types. This variety of pistachio has a round shape with more kernel than others; it also has the greenest kernel. GPPK (Green Peeled Pistachio Kernel) is mostly made from Fandoghi because of its green kernel and reasonable price. The round pistachio makes up around 40% of the total production. In Persian, it gets its name from hazelnuts because it’s shaped like them. There are different sizes, but the most famous is 30/32.

Badami (Long)
